I would also politely ask, given the circumstances of the usage of your amp, if they would be willing to offer you an extended warranty to have this repair done. If there was a known defect that existed when your warranty was in effect, they might be willing to fix it for you. When approaching a company with a request like this, it is important to keep a cool head.
