Aria Made In Japan Serial Numbers Rating: 5,0/5 4731 reviews

May 31, 2018 - Dating Aria Guitars. I have aria pro ii viper series vp-60, serial # 912299. It says made in Japan and has serial number 1043360. Despite the 1980 serial number, it is quite possible that they previous owner has already bought the guitar at the end of 1979 - something I noticed even at several guitars from Aria Pro II. I don´t know the YS-300 (bolt on neck), but my YS-400 (set neck) is a very good and versatile guitar - IMHO.

Aria guitars emerged on the music scene in 1958, with the first electric models appearing five years later. With such a large number of years in production, owners of Aria guitars often want to know what year their guitar was made. Manufacturers included a few clues to help you decide when your Aria was 'born.' Locate the serial number on your guitar.

If you cannot locate a serial number, chances are your guitar was manufactured before the mid-1970s. Serial numbers will be found on a plate bolted to the back of the guitar's neck on electric models or inside the body of an acoustic model. Look at the first number of your serial number if one exists. Through 1987, Aria guitars serial numbers represented the year of manufacturer as either the first one or first two digits of the serial number. For example, a guitar made in 1978 might have the first two digits of 78 or the first digit of 8.

Determine whether your guitar's first two digits are 81 or higher. If the digits are 81 or higher, you can likely pinpoint the week the guitar was made.

Guitars in this era included the year and week of manufacture as the first four digits. For example, a guitar made in the 10th week of 1988 would have the first four digits of 8810.

Here is a bit of information I found while searching for information about my Aria (Ariana) A570 Classical Guitar, which you Aria owners may find beneficial. By the way, I still don't the actual age of mine. In the mid 70's, serial numbers began to be used.

At least for Aria guitars, made by Matsumoku, the serial number contains the year of manufacture in the first 2 digits, thus a guitar from 1979 would have a serial number, such as 79####. The manufacturing of Aria guitars were subcontracted out to Matsumoku from 1964 to 1986. Rumor has it, although I can't find confirmation, that the Indonesian factory was thought to be to be an Indonesian 'slave' factory). If anyone has information on the age of the A570, I'd appreciate it.

Neuroshell 2 crack. My A570 sounds better than my Yahama C70. Related Instruments.

I just acquired a Mdl. # 00144 and if yours is anything like mine its well worth fixing. Use only a reputable luthier(for the bridge to'fall' off typically means that it got heated to 150 degrees F. Or more which is the melting point of horse hide glue which all quality guitar bridges are held on with)and if you're lucky no strands of top wood[sound board] came with it.

If bits of grain did tear off with it, the ultimate way of restoring it is to replace them[no voids] because you want 100% contact of bridge to top[with grain strands on the bottom of your bridge you might be able to stick it right back where it was] because this is the source of the guitar's tone) as these instruments deserve it. Best of luck to you.
